Star Hotel – circa early 1900’s. This business was established in 1871 by Frank Zeman. It had 22 rooms. Several decades later it would be owned by the Meyer family and eventually called Pat’s Tap Room starting in the 1940’s. Pat’s Tap Room – circa 1950’s – Giant Feature Matchbook, back. This matchbook would have been given away during the holidays. It was known as a giant feature matchbook measuring 4 1/2″ X 3 1/2″. The matches are 3″ tall with a night before xmas scene printed across them.
