Terrace Gardens – Tuesday, December 5, 1933 – ad. The repeal of the 18th amendment took place on December 5 and taverns could once again begin selling liquor. The New Opera House – 1950 – is the building with the numerous advertisements painted on the side. The larger square portion that shows the Miller High Life sign was the first to be torn down in the middle 1950’s. The main building fronting N. 8th St. stood for another 25 years.
